Hiatus

Some of you may be wondering why this website has yet to be updated, especially when there have been some very important updates in the debunking community--new Hardfire episodes, NIST's defense of their WTC7 report, the death of Barry Jennings, and a new Conspiracy Files--not to mention what seems to be the largest decline of Truther activity that we have ever seen.

With all of this going on, this new website that you heard about on the JREF forum, and the Screw Loose Change blog, has not be actively updating itself to archive the death of the 9/11 Truth movement. For this, I do apologize.

I was perhaps a bit premature in releasing this site to the world, but I did so as I tribute to another anniversary of 9/11. I became interested in debunking these claims during a summer holiday where I was going through the job market. Waiting for those interviews sometimes took a lot of time, so I filled it debunking what I considered offensive and historically inaccurate claims. I got the job, yet as a brand new teacher to the discipline one must spend a year preparing new lessons from scratch. This takes up almost all of my free time.

I will be back. I will podcast. I will upload some of my radio debates. I will provide you, once again, with an updated glossary of all things 9/11 debunking. I apologize for this inconvenience. Unlike many of our opponents, I actually have a life.

Illumanati Agent Found In Tennessee?!?!? OMG

It looks like we know the Illumanati's next target for a false-flag terror operation: The Knoxville Museum of Art.

Though I cannot say this for a certainty, but I believe that this young man can blame his mental condition on Alex Jones.

The skinny: A man trying to break into the Knoxville Museum of Art calls 911 when he gets stuck in the building's air shaft. He nonchalantly claims that he is a special agent with the United States Illumanati and he was on a special mission that went "horribly wrong." The write-up in the local paper is found here. While the 9/11 call can be found on YouTube here:

Seems to me that this kid has listened to his fair share of Alex Jones.

Saturday Update: September 20

We made the big time!

The Debunking Directory was just mentioned on a post at Screw Loose Change, which happens to be the premiere blog of the very topic that this site addresses.

I have read James and Pat's posts for years--almost dating back to when they started the blog back in 2006. It is truly an honor to be mentioned by them.

We are launched!!!

I sent the following message to the four corners of the Internet to promote the website. Now it looks like I need to buckle down and get the site finished!!!

Friends:

I write to you on the seventh anniversary of a day that will forever be etched into our memories. As a nation, we were all there to see the evil plot conceived by Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and his financier Usama Bin-Laden take center stage in New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Their plan was quite simple: Nineteen men of a fundamentalist Islamic sect boarded four aircraft and piloted these planes to crash into prominent buildings. Three out of four of these jets hit their intended targets--The Twin Towers and the Pentagon. After hearing of these strikes, the passengers on the fourth jet gave their lives to retake their hijacked aircraft. Their final resting place is a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

We have tried our best to put this day behind us, while respecting the memory of 2,998 souls that were lost on that day. However, a grassroots movement of citizens came along challenging what we have been told. This movement grew like wildfire thanks in part to the Internet and the Google Video phenomenon Loose Change.

Recognizing that skepticism is a vital function of inquiry, many of us welcomed their arguments and alternative views. The vast majority of us were slightly amused when we found out that these individuals were pushing theories full of remote-controlled planes, faked passenger phone calls, bombs in the World Trade Center complex, missiles at the Pentagon, and more instances of science fiction. According to this movement, these events were allegedly pulled off in part, or in whole, by the Department of Defense, the Air Force, the Fire Department of New York (which lost 343 brothers), the Port Authority of New York, and our elected governing officials.

The conspiracy theory films were quite compelling. By cherry-picking their evidence, taking events out of context, blatantly misquoting individuals, and even the occasional dose of doctored evidence came to be the ingredients of this rather effective movement. As Winston Churchill once stated, "A lie can get halfway around the world, before the truth can get its pants on," these theories toppled down the actual events just because they were so controversial and compelling. But years later, these ridiculous conspiracy theories came tumbling down themselves and the truth was being rebuilt just like the towers in New York.

These theories soon gained popularity. But they are, in fact today, dying. This is due in part to a collection of academics who got together to confront these quickly growing theories once and for all. They donned the title '9/11 debunkers' and engaged these conspiracy theorists in debates and a scrupulous review of their so-called evidence. Since then, the 9/11 conspiracy theory movement has lost massive traffic to their websites, attendees to their rallies, and credibility in the scientific world.

I have created a website to honor those who have compiled this information to combat these 9/11 conspiracy theories. And though the site still needs some major work, I found that today is a very fitting day to remember those who passed and to honor those who so diligently fought to prove that "9/11 Truth" is nothing but a lie.

I encourage you to use this website as a reference. More than likely, each one of you know someone who pushes these theories often in daily conversation. Use this website to get the other side of the story and to defend the actual record of events.

I named my new website The Debunking Directory and it can be found at www.TheDebunkingDirectory.com. I hope you will give it a visit!

Summer of Frustration

This post is to explain to the few interested why three months ago I said "My new website will be up in July!" only to have my word and my bond broken. Because of a major glitch at my free webserver (thus the reason I am not trying to be picky), I was unable to update my website and thus The Directory was put on hold.

Since then I participated in some 0/11 radio debates, started a new career, moved to a new city, and have pursued other interests, yet debunking these 9/11 conspiracy theories will still be an important task to me. (Especially during the 2008 election season as news is breaking that Ron Paul will be on the ballot in some states this November--thus wherever he goes, Truthers will follow.)

So, here we go again. My free time on the weekends will find a place in this website. I hope you will all join me for this ride.

.com

It appears that we have our own portal on the web. This website is now www.TheDebunkingDirectory.com.

Three years ago, I would have never imagined that I would be a webmaster compiling the information that is available at this website. Yet I am proud of what has been done so far, yet admit that much more work is needed.

I plan to officially "launch" this site to the Debunking community (namely the JREF forums) by the end of this week.

Slowly But Surely

Hello from web-building land,

One has to take only a miniscule gander across The Directory to see why I, The Director, should stick to teaching junior high as I am not a webmaster. I am building this site as the new Truther.org is launched and I stand amazed. I mean, who has the money and time to keep up all of these sites? I mean, yeah, I'll give them credit where credit is due...it is a nice website. Yet, it doesn't matter how much you spruce up lies and garbage...it is still lies and garbage.

At any rate, I am proud at the progress that is being made. This is what is keeping me busy:

Web>Articles/Editorials--I am sifting through the posted articles and editorials at the JREF forum and placing the ones that are still active in the new section.

Home>Site Menu--I plan to use this technology called Voice Thread to create an interactive tour to the new website.

Everywhere--I have made a tentative list at all of the flaws and hiccups that this free site has produced. I will get to them eventually.

Web>Websites--Oh man, I need to get around to this section. I do not even know where to begin. This is more than just a mere list of "Hey, these are good places to go" but I hope to thread all of the good nuggets at Roberts site, some Screw Loose Change exclusives, and etc. I may need to put this off until a little later...I'm trying to build Rome in a day.

Alex Jones School of Journalism

Step aside, Walter Kronkite. Take a back seat, Tom Brokaw. Turn in your resignation, Wolf Blitzer. Nice try, Tim Russert. A member of the pristigous Prison Planet forums, Moose Hunter, has set the bar for journalistic excellence:

The BBC can't have no expert of the caliber of an Alex Jones or a Jason Bermas..

Can you picture any of the four men listed above in Alex's shoes below?

I am putting this clip in the comedy section over at The Directory. You couldn't ask Alex to be any more hilarious...
